Protect your concrete and keep it looking great for years
Cook Concrete Limited highly recommend sealing your finished concrete. The process of protecting and sealing concrete typically involves several steps, including acid washing, waterblasting, and applying a sealant.
Acid washing is a method used to clean the surface of the concrete and prepare it for sealing. It helps remove dirt, stains, efflorescence (white powdery deposits), and other contaminants from the surface.
Water blasting rinses off the acid solution and thoroughly cleans the concrete surface.
Sealing with an acrylic or penetrating sealer acts as a protective barrier, forming a film or penetrating into the concrete to prevent liquids, oils, and contaminants from infiltrating it.
Once sealed, the concrete colour will be brighter and the surface will be more resistant to weathering and stains, including reduced surface moss. Regular application of sealer will give your concrete surface long term durability - talk to our team to find out more.
